This a great result considering we couldn’t have the fire trucks collecting in streets or collecting at intersections.
The Virtual Tin Shake was quite successful raising $4827.77 for the Echuca/Moama tally.
Once again the patron of our clubs, pubs and businesses around town contributed more than $15,000 through collection tins etc.
On behalf of the Echuca Lions Club and the Good Friday Appeal I would like to thank the following:
The Echuca Workers Club
Woolworths Echuca/Moama
The Great Aussie Beer Shed
The Tobacco Station
Ben Christie and his grandsons Ben and Sam and Kevin Lowrie who do a great job collecting containers as well other businesses around town for their great support again this year.
I must mention Warren from Toyworld who has been accepting donations for the appeal for almost 20 years, thank you Warren.
Special thanks go to Sharron West from ANZ Bank who handles our deposits throughout the year, sometimes I would land in there with more than $1000 in coins but she never complains.
And, finally, Lions members who have helped in any way.
Laurie Stewart, Good Friday Appeal area manager
