They will be running an Active Living Expo on March 30 alongside the Echuca Farmers’ Market at Alton Reserve.
The interactive, family-friendly event aims to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to meet local activity providers and see how Echuca-Moama can support them to stay active.
“The expo aims to showcase to the community a variety of active options available within Echuca-Moama, suitable for all age groups,’’ Campaspe Shire economic and community development general manager Keith Oberin said.
Entry to the expo is free for all ages and will aim to encourage people and families to be active in unconventional ways.
‘‘We want people to think outside the box when it comes to activity,’’ Echuca Regional Health preventative health manager Danielle Paterson said.
‘‘We want people to see there are lots of opportunities to be active in the area that is beyond the traditional team sports.’’
Some of the activity groups and businesses showcased on the day include Echuca Moama Stand Up Paddle Board, FitMob, iWaterSki and Wellsoul Studio.
The day will involve demonstrations, free activities, come and try events and opportunities to chat to health and wellbeing providers from around Echuca-Moama.
It will be held from 9am to noon at Alton Reserve on Saturday, March 30. To get on board with Premier’s Active April — an exciting and fun way to get active, stay healthy, and enjoy time with family, friends and work colleagues — register at activeapril.vic.gov.au
