Florance passionate about protecting environment

On his bio, Mr Florance said the party’s policies resonate with him because they offer “carefully considered solutions to the problems of unsustainable urban growth and suburban sprawl, whilst protecting our heritage and local amenity.”

“I have always been passionate about the protection and conservation of our natural environment and am committed to its restoration and better management into the future,” Mr Florance said.

“Other issues that are of concern to me include the logging of native forests in our national parks, and water management and allocation in the Murray-Darling Basin.

“I hope part of my lasting legacy that I leave to my grandchildren will be the simple joy and satisfaction that results from planting one of many native trees and watching it grow to maturity.”
