The Bombers have continued their horror run to start the Heathcote District Netball League season, being crushed by league leader Mt Pleasant in round three.
Travelling to Toolleen Recreation Reserve, Leitchville-Gunbower was in it for much of the contest as the Mighty Mounts took it to the visitor.
There was clearly a disparity between the two sides as Mt Pleasant dominated throughout to end its day with a 30-goal victory.
The final score was Mt Pleasant 63 to Leitchville-Gunbower 33.
While the loss keeps the Bombers winless for another week, they are not yet at the bottom of the HDNL ladder with LBU and Heathcote behind them on goal difference.
The schedule won’t ease up on L-G heading into round four when they return home to face Colbinabbin, who are currently 2-2 on the season after thumping the Cats in round three.
Meanwhile, the Mighty Mounts will travel to Elmore Recreation Reserve to battle the Bloods in round four, which should be a closer contest after Elmore’s respectable start to the season.
