On its home field at Echuca College, the River Rats Green side scored a 3-0 victory over Strikers Hockey Club.
Courtney Thompson took her regular place on the scoresheet with two of the goals for the home side.
Thompson has yet to score fewer than two goals in each appearance this season, her tally for the year now improved to 13.
Sally Thompson was the other River Rats scorer in the tie.
The win helps keep Green on top of the women’s ladder.
At Shepparton Regional Hockey Complex, the River Rats White team grabbed its second win of the campaign over Euroa.
The game finished 4-1, with Chloe Kell striking twice for Echuca-Moama and Amy Coshan and Hanna Rath-Kenny contributing the remaining goals.
Heidi Perry scored Euroa’s lone goal.
White now joins the mix of teams mid-table with two wins through five games.
In the men’s divisions, the River Rats’ A-grade side had the bye, but B-grade battled to a draw against Strikers.
Benjamin Weir’s goal for Echuca-Moama was matched by Striker William Linnett and the sides couldn’t be separated by the full-time whistle.
Shepparton Youth Club is the clear leader in B-grade but the River Rats cling to second spot with the draw.
This weekend, the women’s Green side takes on Euroa, while White battles SYC, both in Shepparton.
The A-grade men are also away to SYC, while B-grade hosts Mooroopna at Echuca College.
