Picola United couldn’t match a top four opponent in round 14 of Picola District Netball League.
Hosting third-placed Katamatite at Picola Recreation Reserve, the Blues didn’t have the quality to keep pace with one of the league’s best sides.
The Tigers put their stamp on the game early, getting out to a 22-6 first quarter lead, which they extended to 30 goals by the main break.
The Blues found more on offence in the second half, but were heavily beaten, going down 69-22.
This marks a fifth consecutive loss for Picola (3-9), the road not set to get any easier for the 11th-placed Blues, who take on fifth-ranked Katandra after the league bye.
The clash will take place at Katandra Recreation Reserve on July 19.
