The happy winner was among the division one winners nationally in TattsLotto draw 4625 on Saturday, November 15, with each entry scoring over $1.6 million.
Speaking to an official from The Lott on Sunday, November 16, the Echuca resident shared how he discovered his good fortune.
“This morning, I was driving in my car to Bunnings, and I just thought I’d check the numbers, so I pulled over,” he said.
“When I looked, I thought, ‘... I’ve got six numbers!’ I went all fuzzy.”
The man had used the same ticket in a previous draw, and felt compelled to take it back for entry over the weekend.
He said he would now be debt-free, and planned on celebrating with some “nice sausages” for dinner.
“It just changes everything,” he said.
“I’ll pay off the house, maybe reduce the days I work, and buy a new car.”
The man’s winning entry was purchased at Echuca Lucky Lotto, and was one of four national winners, with all entrants from Victoria.
