Golden Square surprised the more favoured Bendigo in the preliminary final, notching a comprehensive 16-97 to 2-67 win to surge into the title fight.
In a strong performance, Golden Square won three of the four rinks, each by nine shots or better, skips Bryce Young, Andrew Brown and Nathan Lynch all getting up.
Bradley Marron was the lone Bendigo skip to taste success.
The result provides a further small boost to Moama’s title chances, the now-eliminated Bendigo the only side to have defeated the Steamers during the season.
Moama had defeated Bendigo in the qualifying semi to earn easy passage to the decider.
The local side will go in hot favourites at North Bendigo Bowls Club, looking to grab a third straight BCGBR Premier League championship.
