Celebrate women’s day with EmpowHER

District residents are set to celebrate International Women’s Day with an afternoon of inspiration, connection and empowerment.

Event host EmpowHER is inviting community members to gather for high tea, champagne and the chance to win lucky door prizes.

Event organiser Brittany Hodgkinson said the event was about bringing different avenues and guest speakers to Kyabram and providing a space where people could connect and make new friends.

Attendees will hear from guest speaker Narelle Fraser, a former Victoria Police detective.

She will share her powerful message, ‘it isn't a crime to be stressed’, by talking about managing stressors, learning methods of resilience and her journey to a new career.

“This is just a nice way of celebrating being women,” event organiser Michelle Sing said.

The event will be held at Parkland Golf Club on Racecourse Rd, Kyabram, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Friday, March 13.

Ms Hodgkinson said while the event was aimed at women, everyone was welcome to attend.
