Starting in the Goulburn Valley League with Echuca, where the Murray Bombers continued their scintillating start to the football season by comfortably defeating Mooroopna 13.22 (100) to 8.9 (57).
In the Murray league, it was another tough day all-round for Moama, as the football side went down 11.4 (70) to 12.7 (79) to Nathalia, while the Purples also beat the Magpies in A-grade netball 62-36.
Elsewhere, Echuca United’s football side made it consecutive wins by defeating Rumbalara 12.6 (78) to 10.5 (65).
In the Heathcote District Football Netball League, Leitchville-Gunbower picked up its second win of the football season by edging Huntly 11.8 (74) to 10.10 (70), while the two clubs couldn’t be split in A-grade netball, drawing 49-49.
Lockington Bamawm United also had a mixed day at the office, with the Cats beating Heathcote in the football 14.15 (99) to 12.11 (83), but narrowly losing A-grade netball 46-43.
Finally, to the Picola District Football Netball League, where Picola United had another perfect weekend, defeating Blighty 9.7 (61) to 8.12 (60) in football and 59-16 in A-grade netball.
It was the opposite for Mathoura, as both Timbercutters sides went down to Waaia, 23.15 (153) to 3.2 (20) in senior football and 50-15 in A-grade netball.
