The annual Echuca Cup meet is set to wow those trackside, with plenty to entertain on both sides of the barriers.
An eight-race schedule will be highlighted by the eponymous race, the Moama Bowling Club Echuca Cup, set to jump as race 6 at about 4.15pm.
The $100,000 race will be contested over 1400m, with a 15-horse field currently on the docket.
On field action begins at 1.20pm, with the final race to get under way from 5.20pm.
Local influence will also be rife, with Echuca trainers Gwenda Johsntone and Rhys Archard both entering several runners across the day.
Heavy rains over Sunday and Monday had the course at a Heavy 10, but track officials expect if clear skies hold into the weekend, conditions should be back to a Good 4 come race day, indicating smooth rides ahead for jockeys.
Off the track, the meet will include all the usual accompaniments to a day of racing.
Winners post enclosure ticket holders will enjoy live music, while food and drink aplenty, and kids’ entertainment, will be on offer for all attendees.
General admission begins at $25 and kids 17 and under enter free.
Shuttle buses will run from the Caledonian and Echuca hotels in Echuca, and the Border Inn and Moama Bowling Club in Moama, from 11am to 6pm, making it easy to get to and from trackside.
