This year, it hopes to collect 500,000 period products through its March and August Dignity Drives.
However, in recent times, Dignity Drive donations have declined in Echuca Moama.
Local Share the Dignity committee member Glynis Kelly said there was still a real need for period products.
“There is a real urgency,” she said.
“The less products we have, the less people get ... and they really need the products.”
All period products collected during the drive remain in the Campaspe region.
Throughout the year, the products are distributed to organisations such as Echuca Neighbourhood House, Crossenvale, Anglicare and Echuca Regional Health, or set aside for the charity’s It’s in the Bag campaign.
Donations can include tampons, pads, menstrual cups, reusable pads, menstrual discs, period undies and incontinence aids.
To meet Australian quality standards, all donations must be brand new and in their original packaging.
Woolworths stores in Echuca, Echuca West, Moama and Kyabram will again serve as collection points for the drive.
Share the Dignity donation boxes can be found in each store until the drive ends on Tuesday, March 31.
