Good Flock, a national not-for-profit working to transform Australia’s culture of ageing, has launched a campaign inviting Victorians to nominate inspiring individuals, community groups, organisations and creative projects that are challenging conventional ideas about growing older and demonstrating better possibilities for ageing.

“We’re looking for all sorts of examples, big or small — from older people finding new ways to contribute and connect, to projects bringing generations together, or communities finding creative ways to share care and support,” Good Flock founder and executive director Anna Donaldson said.

“We've already received some wonderful nominations from across Victoria, including U3A Benalla, where hundreds of older residents are continuing to learn and share their skills, and Koha Community Cafe in Warburton, where volunteers aged 11 to 91 come together around weekly pay-what-you-can community dinners.

“But we’d love to discover what’s happening in Shepparton and across the Goulburn Valley.”

Nominations are open until November 20.
