Juniors star at track meet

By Riverine Herald

LOCAL school students have battled it out for a place at the School Sport Victoria cross country state championships after descending on St Arnaud’s last week.

The event combined both primary and secondary school runners who qualified after progressing from the Campaspe District events held last month.

Our schools produced three winners in the form of Beau Harris (Echuca College — 16 boys), Ruby Morley (Echuca PS — 11 girls) and Whan Harrison (St Mary’s — 9-10 boys).

Top 12 finishers will now progress to the state championships to be held in Bundoora on July 18.
