For the past 35 years, the Echuca Lions Club has selected groups of students to attend the camp, but the 2020 trip was cancelled twice due to COVID-19.
Echuca Lions Club president John Patterson said the camp had a lot of benefits for these students.
“Licola provides an environment of fun and learning for all participants,” he said.
“It promotes the feeling of self-worth and encourages them to rise to their full potential.
“We always hear that the students have come home bubbling with excitement, telling their parents and teachers of their new friends and the activities they partook.”
During their time away, the students took part in activities including canoeing, flying fox, tug of war and so much more.
Mr Patterson said the club encouraged the students to keep in touch with the Lions as well.
“We like for them to write to us about their experiences and tell us what they liked most,” he said.
“It's also great for our members to read the letters full of excitement.
“We're very proud to sponsor these children every year.”
