Staged on Yorta Yorta country over three glorious summer days and nights, the superb natural amphitheatre of Echuca’s Aquatic Reserve will once again play host to some of the most celebrated names in Australian music, including: Boy and Bear, Weddings, Parties, Anything, Baker Boy, Vika and Linda, Sarah Blasko, Shane Nicholson, Custard, Liz Stringer, William Crighton, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Kutcha Edwards, Fulton Street, Freya Josephine Hollick, Caitlin Harnett and the Pony Boys and Babitha, with RocKwiz’s Brian Nankervis returning as festival MC.
Festival director David Frazer said: “COVID caused a hell of a lot of heartache over the last 20 months, and the live music sector was hit harder than most.
“At long last we can finally put all of this behind us and look forward to a weekend of incredible live music surrounded by friends, family and community.”
In celebration of its return, Riverboats 10 will be presented in an expanded format in 2022, featuring more artists on its line-up than ever before and a later finish on the Sunday, with multi-ARIA-award-winning group Boy and Bear closing the festival in style.
Following the Victorian Government’s recent easing of event restrictions, Riverboats 2022 will return in all its pre-COVID glory, with thousands of music lovers from across Australia set to descend on the twin towns, providing a much-needed boost to the regional economy after a challenging year and a half.
In partnership with Murray River Paddlesteamers, Riverboats 2022 will once again present a series of intimate sideshows aboard the historic Pride of the Murray paddlesteamer.
The only festival in Australia to offer this experience, these beloved river cruises will give music fans the opportunity to soak up tunes by artists including William Crighton, Caitlin Harnett and the Pony Boys, Freya Josephine Hollick and Melbourne soul legends Fulton Street.
Riverboats is committed to the delivery of a COVID-safe event and proof of vaccination will be required to enter the venue.
