Prospective buyers got a good look at the line-up of Herefords which will be offered at Tarcombe Herefords annual production sale.
The bulls and heifers were on show at Tarcombe Herefords Beef Week open day held at the property near Ruffy in the Strathbogie Hills on Tuesday, February 4.
The stud will offer 38 polled bulls, two horned bulls and 32 pregnancy tested heifers at the March 5 sale.
The open day was held in hot conditions, but still attracted a steady stream of visitors.
Joint stud manager Tim Hayes said the stud selected for calving traits including birth weight and gestation, with a focus on carcase traits such as muscling, fat cover and marbling.
He said Herefords had a reputation for finishing, temperament and sound structure.
Tarcombe Herefords was established in 1967 by Gilbert and Patty Hayes.
Today the goal is to produce young sires that consistently leave high value, highly marketable beef cattle for commercial producers.
The March 5 sale will be run by Rodwells Euroa online through AuctionsPlus.
