Detective Senior Constable Jason Hare of Echuca Criminal Investigation Unit said thieves broke into her Landsborough St home between 8am and 3pm on Friday.
"They forced entry via a door and found a safe which they managed to smash open," he said.
Several pieces of jewellery, including a 22-carat gold, emerald and diamond ring and an 18-carat yellow gold handcrafted ruby and diamond ring, an iPad, iPad mini and cash were stolen.
"The jewellery was of significant value and sentimental value," Det. Snr Constable Hare said.
"It's pretty devastating for the woman and she feels pretty violated knowing someone was in her house."
Another nearby house was broken into overnight Thursday.
Thieves smashed the laundry window to get inside and stole six bottles of red wine, a laptop and cash.
"It could be related to the Landsborough St burglary because the house is just around the corner and it happened at a similar time," Det. Snr Constable Hare said.
"Three people were seen on bikes loitering around the area during this time. We're not suggesting they were involved but we'd like to speak to them."
Anyone with information about any of the burglaries is urged to contact Echuca police on 5483 1500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
