TWO teenage boys have been charged over a spate of thefts in Echuca West.

Senior Constable Jacinta Morrissey of Echuca criminal investigation unit said the pair was arrested on Friday and charged with 10 counts of theft.

They are alleged to have stolen thousands of dollars worth of goods, including cash, sunglasses and GPS systems between May 10-14.

Many of the victims were elderly residents from Sun River Home Park on the Northern Hwy.

Some of the property has been recovered and will be returned to their owners.

The boys will face a Children's Court in September.
