Driver killed in car crash was Kyvalley man

THE man killed when the car he was driving rolled north of Tongala on Saturday was a 21-year-old from Kyvalley.

The vehicle, which had three occupants, was travelling on Curr Rd, in Yambuna, when it ran off the road and overturned about 9.30am.

The two passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries; the man taken to Echuca hospital and a woman to Shepparton hospital.

Sergeant Paul Nicoll of Campaspe Highway Patrol said police were investigating and would prepare a report for the coroner.

“We will speak to the occupants next week,” he said.

Meanwhile, the woman who crashed her car in Moama after allegedly speeding over the Barmah bridge is out of intensive care.

The woman was airlifted to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition with upper and lower body injuries after the September 7 crash.

Murray River Police District western sectors Inspector Paul Huggett said the woman would be interviewed once released from hospital.
