In an email to members and a statement on its Facebook page, the club said the patron may have been infectious while they were at the venue.
The statement said the person visited the pro shop, played nine holes of golf before eating and drinking mostly in the TAB area of the club, leaving at 1.20pm.
As a result, the club said all staff who had worked in the clubhouse or pro shop on that day have been directed to get tested and isolate.
“It is also recommended that any member or patron that was inside the Clubhouse on Friday 24 September between 10.30am and 1.20pm should get a Covid test and self-isolate awaiting the result of that test,” the statement said.
The clubhouse will be closed on Saturday, October 2 and this closure may be extended.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused however the interest of public health and safety must come first,” the statement said.
“If anyone does have any cold or flu type symptoms, please do the right thing and get a Covid test and isolate awaiting the results of that Covid test.”
Moama already has two exposure sites, announced by the Murrumbidgee Local Health District on Thursday.
Anyone who was at the Border Inn between 6.30pm and 9pm on Friday, September 24 is advised to get tested immediately and isolate until being contacted by NSW Health.
