C4EM chief executive officer Jayden Howe said it was a great event.
“Thanks to everyone who supported the night,” he said.
“It was wonderful to see so many new faces.”
The night included the announcement of a new festival for Echuca-Moama in 2027, Taste the Murray, to be run by C4EM’s tourism arm.
“We are so excited to bring this festival to Echuca-Moama which will celebrate our amazing local culinary culture and bring together local restaurants, chefs, wineries, distillers, brewers, artisan producers and musicians,” Mr Howe said.
To be held over a weekend, it will showcase the region's exceptional food, wine, spirits and agricultural industries while encouraging visitors to explore the wider community.
“Taste the Murray is all about building on the success of established events such as the Longest Lunch and the Echuca Farmers Market and is designed to complement existing events rather than compete with them,” Mr Howe said.
A date for Taste the Murray will be announced later this month.
Courtney Mitchell, Naomi Murray, Emily Thorpe and Natalie Durrant.
The cocktail party also included an update on the ‘A Snapshot in Time’ project, which will celebrate and honour women from the Campaspe and Murray local government areas, capturing their unique contributions and experiences in 2025 in a published book.
A number of young people are working alongside experienced writers and journalists to conduct interviews and capture portraits, creating an inspiring historical record of women across the community in 2025.
“A Snapshot in Time is progressing well, with a launch date being finalised for later this year,” Mr Howe said.
“These projects reinforce our commitment to help grow our community’s economy and social wellbeing.
“If any local businesses are interested in being supported by C4EM, please reach out regarding upcoming opportunities and partnerships.”
