The publication looks back at the school’s proud history, celebrates the generations of students, families and teachers who have helped shape the school, while also celebrating the school, staff and students of today who continue to build on that legacy.
Current principal Wesley Teague has a long connection with the school, having started teaching at Kialla West in 1998 before becoming principal in 2010.
While much has changed across the past 150 years, Wesley said the people at the heart of the school remained its greatest strength.
“I have also had the privilege of seeing my own children attend Kialla West,” Wesley said.
“While our buildings, classrooms, resources and educational practices have continued to evolve over 150 years, one thing has remained constant, the people who make Kialla West such a great place.
“Kialla West is more than a school, it is a place of belonging and a place where people genuinely care about one another.”
