Echuca Workers has been recognised as a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Community Clubs Victoria gala dinner and awards night.

The club was nominated for Best Regional Club Bistro/Restaurant and Emerging Young Community Leader for duty manager Jordan Simpson.
More than 400 guests, including club leaders, volunteers, industry partners and Members of Parliament, attended the event at the Park Hyatt Melbourne on Saturday, July 4.
Echuca Workers general manager Erin Langman said the nominations were a credit to the entire team.
“We were thrilled to be a finalist,” she said.
“It was quite an honour.
“There was a lot of submissions, and unfortunately, we missed out, but I think it is a credit to the people who work here, the kitchen staff, the front of house staff, everybody that contributes to the atmosphere here.”
Ms Langman said the bistro's personal touch set it apart from the competition.
“We have one of the best bistros in Echuca because ours is personal,” she said.
“We are not too big, and we know who comes in, we know our regulars. Everything's made, to sound a bit cliché, but made with love.”
Of Jordan's nomination, Ms Langman was equally enthusiastic.
“Jordan is a great employee and deserves the recognition,” she said.
“He is just a stand-up guy and a lot of people could take a few examples from him, the way he conducts himself, the way he gives back to the community.”
Jordan Simpson, 23, has been with Echuca Workers since May 2022, starting behind the bar before progressing to duty manager.
He is also a volunteer firefighter with the Echuca Fire Brigade, having joined in 2017 at age 13 through its junior program.
“I am a volunteer firefighter with the Echuca CFA, having been involved for nearly 10 years,” Mr Simpson said.
“My stepdad was involved, so I got involved.”
Jordan Simpson was recognised for his outstanding contributions at Echuca Workers and as a volunteer firefighter with the Echuca CFA.

During the 2022 floods, Mr Simpson took several weeks away from the club to support the community through his CFA role.
His achievements with the CFA include winning Junior Firefighter of the Year in 2018, a bronze medal at the 2019 Australasian Championships, and in 2022 becoming the youngest person elected as 4th Lieutenant in the Echuca Fire Brigade's history.
He was awarded Young Citizen of the Year for Campaspe Shire in January 2024.
Mr Simpson said he valued the workplace culture at Echuca Workers.
“Definitely the team environment is what is good about working at the Workers,” he said.
“Erin is a great boss, she is fantastic at leading the team.”
