The ceremony, which began at 10.30am, drew attendees from across surrounding towns and featured wreath laying, guest speakers and traditional tributes.
Master of ceremonies Mick Farrant, who has led the service for the past decade, said the day continued to bring the community together.
“We’re very lucky to have such an involved community, everyone gets involved,” he said.
Wreaths were laid by Gunbower Primary School students, along with council representatives and local groups, with Mr Farrant praising the school’s contribution.
“It’s great to have the school involved, they do a lot of great work,” he said.
Gunbower Primary School student Adam L. also read a poem inspired by the day, adding a personal and reflective moment to the service.

A number of guest speakers shared personal reflections, including Stella Elliott, who spoke about her experience on the Kokoda Trail, where she honoured a fallen soldier by visiting his grave.
“She’s an astounding and well-spoken young woman,” Mr Farrant said.
Former serviceman Jye Keath, who has completed three tours including service in Afghanistan, also addressed the crowd, reflecting on his experiences.
Michelle Kovac spoke about her father’s wartime journey from Singapore to Australia and fired a World War II ceremonial cannon as part of the service.
Other highlights included the Last Post played by Jefferson and Graham Smith, and a gun talk by Tim Scriven.
Mr Farrant said the event remained a deeply valued tradition.
“Everybody loves the day and gets around it,” he said.
The service was organised by Val Rowlands, with additional touches including painted hay bales by Bobby Dickson adding to the commemorations.
