To celebrate Moama and District Preschool’s 50th year, the centre’s committee is inviting families to have their drawings immortalised in a new display of commemorative pavers in the preschool’s playground.

The funds will support the not-for-profit preschool, with the display set to be unveiled at the centre’s 50th birthday celebrations in October.
The centre’s director of 30 years, Narelle Blachford, said the fundraiser was a chance for families to leave a permanent mark on the preschool while supporting the paving of its yarning area.

“It’s an opportunity to be a part of something really special with a preschool that’s been in our community for a long, long, long time,” Ms Blachford said.
“Back when I first started, we knew all the businesses and everyone in town.
“Moama has grown to more than twice that (population) now, and it’s nice to have families of the children that I taught coming back.
“If anyone wants to cement an everlasting memory with us, because we hope to be here for a very, very long time, (this) is something that won’t disappear.”
