Find a furry friend at Cobram pound

It’s all meows and purrs at the full Cobram pound cattery, and some local felines are ready to find their forever homes.

To encourage the community to home these cats and kittens, Moira Shire Council has reduced adoption fees until the end of the month.

From now until Friday, July 31, kittens from the pound are available for $120, while adult cats are available for $60.

Every adoption includes desexing, vaccinations, microchipping and free registration until April 2027.

Council chair administrator Graeme Emonson said he hoped this adoption drive could help local furry friends to find loving homes.

“Adult cats make wonderful companions — calm, loving and already litter-trained,” Dr Emonson said.

“Or, if you’re after a playful new addition to the family, there are kittens ready and waiting.”

Not all the available cats and kittens are listed on the website — many more are waiting to meet their prospective owners at the Cobram pound.
