The Finley Football and Netball Club and the Finley RSL Sub-branch recently came together for the official unfurling of the special Anzac jumper worn by Finley senior football coach Jack Sexton during the club's Anzac Day match earlier this year.
The initiative was driven by Sexton, and Finley RSL Sub-branch president Jeff Ward expressed his gratitude to both Sexton and the Cats for their generous donation.
He also thanked the club for extending such a warm welcome to veterans and friends of the RSL Sub-branch on Anzac Day.
The commemorative jumper will be displayed as a lasting tribute to those who have served, and recognising the strong and enduring relationship between the FFNC and the RSL Sub-branch.
Mr Ward also acknowledged the efforts of FFNC president Matt Clarke and committee member Dan Harris, thanking them for the collaborative approach taken to ensure the jumper met all appropriate criteria and respectfully represented all branches of the Australian Defence Force.
