The club is a network of men’s book clubs in over 170 locations.
It believes in encouraging men to read more and talk more about what they are reading, and that meeting in the pub once a month for some proper face-to-face conversation is a great way to do it.

The Tough Guy Book Club in Echuca is one of the newer branches, hosted by local Greg Chandler.
“I first saw an ABC news article about men not reading as much as they used to, and the club was mentioned,” Mr Chandler said.
“The nearest branch was in Bendigo and I went there for a few months, before applying to start one in Echuca,” he said.
“Simple as that.”
Currently the club meets at the Echuca Hotel on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm.
“New readers are always welcome,” Mr Chandler said.
“There's a lot more info, including FAQs, on the website for anyone who wants to look into us further.”
