Victorian Labor has promised to expand the emergency department at Goulburn Valley Health to slash wait times, if returned to government at the November state election.

The state average wait time at an ED is 15 minutes, but with record demand, some patients are waiting more than two hours.
The commitment would see expansions at 11 other hospitals across regional and metro Victoria as well, for a total of 250 new beds.
Each ED would be expanded by 25 per cent and an additional 1500 health workers would be hired across the state.
Labor candidate for Shepparton Cayla Fin said the announcement “means more local jobs and faster local care”.
“Too often we have to wait too long for urgent care in our hospitals,” Ms Fin said.
