A recycled water scheme could become part of the Echuca West Water Reclamation Plant after the Victorian Government committed $25,000 to assess the viability of the project.
Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp said the funding would go towards developing a comprehensive plan for Echuca and guide future investment.
“This feasibility study is a great opportunity to invest in better water infrastructure for our local community and help build Echuca’s resilience in a changing climate,” he said.
“Improving our local facilities is vital for our growing community, ensuring we have the right facilities for our community to enjoy.”
The project will be delivered in partnership with Campaspe Shire Council and Coliban Water.
