Descendants of Pat and Marie McNamara gathered recently at the Lake Hume Resort for a family reunion, with more than 80 attending throughout the weekend.

With such a large number wanting to catch up, there were several events held to allow for differing schedules.
There were three generations consisting of seven children, 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. All as a result of a Modern Walz in 1946!
The family was delighted to have former Parish Priest of Finley and Tocumwal, Martin Cruickshank, in attendance.

The long weekend of October 3,4 and 5, 2026 will see a gathering of Finley High School students who started in 1971 and finished in 1976 (or who were there for part of the journey!).
There will be various gatherings over the weekend, culminating in a dinner at the Finley RS Club on Saturday evening, October 3.
Interest in attending has been building from ex-students around Australia and overseas.

The Finley Lions Club members were once again on deck with the wood raffle at the weekend. Winner of Saturday’s trailer load of wood was Reuben Sibraa.
