DRIVERS who were hoping to get their licence have been delayed after VicRoads announced it would suspend all light vehicle drive and computer tests yesterday.
Heavy vehicle and motorcycle tests will continue as normal to “keep industry moving in this unprecedented time”.
“We are doing this to protect the health and well-being of our staff and customers in this unprecedented time,” VicRoads said in a statement.
“We have also suspended all medical review related drive test assessments and are contacting each customer individually to inform them of these changes.
“This suspension will be reviewed monthly, however we will continue to be guided by the latest medical advice which means the suspension may be extended.
If you are an overseas licence holder, you can continue to drive on your overseas licence.“
“The period for compliance to convert to a Victorian licence has been extended and we will provide more details to customers in due course.”
