Police have impounded a car that was allegedly used to evade police multiple times in a matter of days in the Shepparton area.

Police said the white Holden Commodore, with no number plates and a large sticker on the back window that said ‘notorious’, had evaded police at least three times between Wednesday, June 10, and Friday, June 12.
The car had been spotted by police and other road users allegedly speeding in Shepparton and Kialla, as well as on the causeway between Shepparton and Mooroopna over the three days.
Police inquiries into who was driving the car on each of these occasions is continuing.
When police finally caught up with the car in McLennan St, Mooroopna early on Sunday, June 14, it was impounded for 30 days.
The 18-year-old man who was driving it at the time will be charged with driving offences and will have to face Shepparton Magistrates’ Court.
