Isabella Daniel, 15, was awarded the Miss Teen title at the Nathalia Show. Isabella is the daughter of Damian and Diane. She was pictured with one of the baby goats in the popular animal nursery.

The threatening weather held off for the 130th Nathalia Show but there was one casualty.

Rain fell on the town during the week leading up to Saturday’s show, but despite the heavy clouds in the morning, no rain fell, and sunshine blessed the event in the afternoon.

However, due to the threatening conditions, show organisers had to make decisions in advance and they decided not to run the equestrian events on the main oval, due to the impact on the grounds and the potential effect on the riders.

While Thursday’s rain may have had an impact on the gate, show president Dylan Morris said the event was well-patronised and there were no hitches.

About 1000 people had passed through the gates in the morning alone.

The show committee will hold a debrief in about two weeks’ time.
