Echuca Moama
Monday was a perfect day to be out playing what we all love to do and with such friendly people. The club had 16 visitors from Eaglehawk come and enjoyed a day’s play.
They enjoyed it so much that they invited Echuca Moama to come over to their club and have a day at their venue, which we accepted with great pleasure.
Now for the winners of the day.
There were four people who won three games, with three members from Echuca and one from Eaglehawk playing off.
The winner was John Graham, who won all three games with a nett hoop score of seven. The runner-up was a player from Bendigo.
Jump shots were won by three members, including Peter Van Der Zande, Ian Walshe and a jumping Johnnie Tarrant who is back playing again.
He showed the visitors how to do the jump shots by getting five.
Hoops in one were won by Sandra Alstin and Tony Loodham who each got one.
Thanks to the women who did a great job with the morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Anyone wishing to learn how to play the game of croquet with friendly members are welcome to come on down to the Tennis and Croquet Club at Victoria Park.
Free lessons are available with mallets supplied.
