The Tigers were unstoppable from the outset, piling on 35.22 (232) to Rennie’s 2.1 (13) in a ruthless display of attacking football as James Beilby and William Gorman hit the scoreboard eight times each and Thomas Clurey tallied four strikes.
In what proved to be a comprehensive victory over the Hoppers, Jay Boyle, Taiten Rudd, Mark Mills, Mitch Ward, Toby Kopa, Will Simpson and Liam Williams got in on the act with goals of their own.
The result further cemented Katamatite’s status as a premiership contender with the visitor at Rennie Recreation Reserve issuing a statement of intent which will reverberate around the grounds.
Katandra was equally impressive, storming past Katunga 21.16 (142) to 3.2 (20), as the Kats dominated around the contest and spread hard across the ground to record another percentage-boosting victory.
Tocumwal claimed a commanding 19.20 (134) to 3.7 (25) win against Mathoura, as Berrigan also enjoyed a strong afternoon, overpowering Picola United 18.14 (122) to 2.3 (15).
Meanwhile, Tungamah maintained its impressive form with a comprehensive 14.12 (96) to 7.12 (54) victory over Blighty, as Waaia recorded a valuable 16.12 (108) to 8.9 (57) victory against Deniliquin Rovers.
Strathmerton also claimed a solid win, defeating Barooga 8.4 (52) to 5.10 (40), while the closest game of the round came as Dookie United held off Jerilderie to win 9.17 (71) to 4.12 (36).
After this latest round of fixtures, Waaia and Katandra are the pacesetters at the ladder summit, having amassed the maximum points – leaving Katamatite playing catch-up in the third.

Round eight produced several captivating spectacles in the A-grade netball, as Katandra proved outstanding in its 58-28 victory over Katunga in a standout result.
Picola United recorded a strong 60-29 win against Berrigan, while Dookie United produced one of the biggest victories of the round, defeating Jerilderie 65-21 in a commanding four-quarter display.
Katamatite added another impressive result to its growing season résumé with a 52-38 victory against Rennie, while Tocumwal stormed past Mathoura 63-19.
Waaia secured a valuable 41-29 win over Deniliquin Rovers and Strathmerton defeated Barooga 44-29 in another solid performance.
The highest-scoring game of the round came between Tungamah and Blighty, with Tungamah proving far too strong in an emphatic 87-21 victory.
After this latest round of games, Rovers and Tungamah stand out as the title frontrunners at the top of the table – both boasting perfect records – with Dookie United, Waaia, Katandra and Tocumwal hot on their tails.
