The KDL has confirmed the grounds set to host 2026 finals, and after reeling in about $47,000 and 5,500 spectators during last year’s grand final day at Mooroopna Reserve, and the former’s showpiece day is once again bound for its traditional home.
Violet Town, Murchison-Toolamba, and Nagambie will welcome finals football and netball for the first time since 2023, while Girgarre and Undera will throw open their gates for finals action for the first time in two seasons.
The four-week series gets underway with elimination finals at Violet Town on Saturday, August 22, while Girgarre will host the second round of elimination matches a day later.
Nagambie Reserve and Murchison-Toolamba Reserve will play host to the semi-finals, before the preliminary finals head to Undera, where teams will have one last chance to stake their claim to a grand final berth.
Senior premiership incumbents are Murchison-Toolamba in the footy and Shepparton East in the A-grade netball.
“After a record-breaking finals series in 2025, we have been working on making this year’s finals even bigger and better, and ensuring the best possible match day experience for everyone,” KDL president Peter Cordy said.
