Lockington was competitive in a close defeat to North Bendigo last time out, though a White Hills team that finished second last year and was victorious in round one presented arguably a tougher challenge for round two.
The Demons would prove that line of thinking correct, White Hills coasting to a 68-41 victory over the Cats.
Stacy Bacon’s side is one of only two teams, along with Huntly, to be winless from two games, with its start to the season not providing much change from a tough 2025.
The action won’t get any easier next up for Locky either when Mount Pleasant visits Lockington Recreation Reserve this Sunday, the Mighty Mounts notching dominant wins in each of their opening two games.
The game begins at 2.30pm, featuring in a Past Players Reunion Round that Lockington is holding, the club inviting supporters to attend to reminisce about former Cats featured in teams ranging from as early as 1966 to as recently as 2006.
