It looked like a rout was on the cards in the first quarter, as the host burst ahead by three goals, up 19-1 at the first break.
However, Moama would stall in the second term, going scoreless as the Tigers clawed their way back into the game with their first goal.
Cobram’s poor kicking was proving costly and Moama took advantage in the third, kicking two more goals while relegating the Tigers to minor scores, reestablishing a 20-point advantage.

From 1.6, Cobram finished the game 2.8, leading the way on scoring shots, but still falling two goals short of the Mowers.
It wasn’t Moama’s most convincing performance of the season, but served as a momentum builder heading into the finals series, with every game now a win or go home situation.
The Mowers (12-2) finish the season in second, their only losses coming to unbeaten minor premier Shepparton United.

To likely take its third shot at the Demons in the grand final, Moama needs to get through Mansfield in the semi-final round, held at Deakin Reserve this Sunday from 1pm.
The Mowers won the previous two meetings by 19 and nine points respectively.

After a surprising defeat the previous week, the Moama youth girls returned to their usual form, running through Cobram 14.12 (96) to 1.1 (7) at home.
The Mowers were in complete control from the off, kicking eight goals in the first half and holding the Tigers to a point.
Cobram got a brief foothold in the second half, finding its only goal, but Moama continued to pile on the pain to rampage to the big win.

Barring the previous week’s surprise 100-point defeat, Moama has been the side to beat this year, posting 10-1-1, its draw coming through an abandoned fixture.
The Mowers will be a heavy favourite to head to the grand final when they face up to Cobram again this weekend at Deakin Reserve in the semi-final.
That game begins at 11.30am on Sunday, the victor to take on the winner of the earlier game between Shepparton United and Shepparton Swans in the decider on August 16.
