The women’s side was on the road at Rumbalara Recreation Reserve, and after a balanced first quarter, the Mowers had no trouble rolling through the hosts 10.21 (81) to 1.1 (7).
Rumba had hopes of making a game of it after the first term, trailing by just nine points after logging both their scoring shots and keeping Moama to 2.4.
However, that was the host’s last sight of goal for the game as it was held scoreless through the remaining three quarters, while Moama piled on the points.
The Mowers didn’t set the world on fire with the accuracy of their scoring, 10.21 providing something to work on at the training ground, but the side will be satisfied with another four points on the board.
Nkiyah Fraser led the way inside forward 50, kicking four goals, while Shaleah Cooper and Lily Hillman found two each.
The win doesn’t alter Moama’s (7-1) position on the league table, still trailing unbeaten Shepparton United (8-0).
Next up for the Mowers is a night game this Friday, June 19, at Nathalia Recreation Reserve against the resident Purples, starting at 7pm.
Moama’s youth girls side was out of action for a second week in a row at the weekend, the King’s Birthday weekend followed by a bye.
The side returns to action this Sunday, visiting Deakin Reserve to battle Shepparton United.
