Hunter Reid, playing with Commonwealth Golf Club, and Aaron Loader, representing Yarra Yarra Golf Club, featured for their teams in division one and two respectively.
Both clubs reached the finals of their division, which were contested on April 26.
Reid and Commonwealth took on Peninsula-Kingswood at Rafurlie Golf Club in the five-on-five format.
Matches are contested as five one-on-one matched play contests, with each player attempting to win more of the 18 holes than their opponent.
The overall fixture is then scored on number of wins by each club.
Reid faced off against Rehan Pervaiz in his round and had the best result of the match, sealing the point six holes up through 13 contested.
The remaining four match-ups were split by the two clubs, resulting in a win for Reid’s Commonwealth 3-2.
The club qualified for the final on top of the ladder after six wins and one defeat in the rounds stage.
At Kew Golf Club, Loader’s Yarra Yarra faced Heidelberg in the division two final.
Loader, playing against Nathan Anderson, was also one of the leaders in his side’s win, prevailing by four with two holes to play.
One of Loader’s teammates also won comfortably, while the remaining three matches went down to the wire, two decided by a shot, one to each club, while the third finished tied.
It resulted in a Yarra Yarra pennant win 3.5 matches to 1.5.
Like Commonwealth, Yarra Yarra dominated its division in the regular season with six wins and one loss.
Both Reid and Loader’s clubs’ only regular season loss came against their grand final opposition, both sides turning that result around to claim their respective flags.
The Victorian Youth Pennant is an under-24 open gender competition.
