Murray Football Netball League action featured a local meeting between Tongala and Moama, with the Blues sweeping the tie.
Tonny gave its finals football hopes a huge boost with a 10.8 (68) to 5.7 (37) win over the Magpies.
The Blues also comfortably won netball 55-32, tightening their grip on third place on the ladder.
Elsewhere in the Murray league, Echuca United travelled to Deniliquin, coming away from Hardinge St Oval with a win and a loss.
The Eagles recorded their first football win in almost two months with a 12.5 (77) to 7.8 (50) victory over the Rams.
In A-grade netball, favoured Deni met expectations, but was pushed all the way as Echuca United only went down 52-49.
In Heathcote District Football Netball League, Leitchville-Gunbower came close to sweeping Elmore.
The Bombers won football 15.6 (96) to 9.4 (58), but fell agonisingly short in netball, losing 44-43 to the Bloods.
Finally to Picola District Football Netball League, where there was only one win across the four matches that Picola United and Mathoura’s senior sides played.
The big result was the Timbercutters posting their first netball win of the season against Blighty, triumphing 49-21.
The footballers couldn’t follow suit, going down 19.11 (125) to 4.5 (29) to the Redeyes.
Meanwhile, Picola United was swept by Katandra, losing senior football 21.22 (148) to 4.2 (26) and A-grade netball 56-34.
