By Anna McGuinness

CAMPASPE Shire has recorded a new case of COVID-19.

A man in his mid-30s whose residential address is Echuca but works and lives in "rural Victoria" has tested positive for coronavirus.

Echuca Regional Health chief executive Nick Bush confirmed the man is currently self-isolating.

“Where he works there has been a cluster of people infected and they’re self-isolating with their work mates,” he said.

It is one of 384 new cases of coronavirus since yesterday.

Of the total cases, 8387 cases are from metropolitan Melbourne, while 485 are from regional Victoria.

The new case brings the total recorded in Campaspe to six, after the previous case recorded was reclassified to a different local government area.

The government does not release details about specific cases including the exact location of those infected.
