A 2.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Lockington late last night.
The earthquake was recorded at 11.12pm yesterday but only one resident reported they had felt it according to Geoscience Australia.
"I was up studying and didn't feel a thing," one resident said.
Senior duty seismologist Hugh Glanville said it was common for very few or no people to feel an earthquake when it was this small.
Aftershocks are not generally expected for an earthquake of its magnitude.
A total of 24 earthquakes have been recorded within 100 kilometres of Lockington in the past 10 years.
Yesterday's earthquake wasn't the largest recorded in the area, with a magnitude 3.3 earthquake recorded in 2018.
