After a 19-goal loss to Rumba last week, the Mowers bounced back with a big win against Finley in the Muray Netball League on Saturday afternoon, claiming a 33-goal victory.
Moama coach Jodie Lake said it was obvious her team wanted to make up for the previous week's result.
“It really showed for us at training this week,” she said.
“The group was really determined to get as much out of the preparation as possible and get into a position to make up for the result.
“We came up against a really good side in that game, but we also wanted to show what we are capable of as a side.”
Lake said a full team spread of effort was the key in the result - a hallmark of great Moama sides of previous seasons.
“We didn't have anyone who really stood out as a dominant performer,” she said.
“Everyone was able to do their part for the team, and that's always a key in getting victories like these.
“We want to continue to be a side who plays really strong team netball, and that is continuing to show as we go through the year.
“We still have some things we can work on, we have had a few moments late in the game where we made some mistakes, but that's also going to happen in games.
“All we can do is continue to put the work in as a side and and hope to improve even more as the year goes on.
“Once this group has played a lot more netball together we will see the benefits of the work, and we can continue to build on games like the one we played against Finley where we showed what we are capable of.”
