As the weather continues to transition into the cooler months, football and netball leagues are still heating up, with many approaching the halfway point of the competition.
Echuca will continue its stretch on the road with a trip to Mansfield for round seven of the Goulburn Valley League, with the senior football side taking to the field at 2pm while the A-grade netballers will hit the court at 2.15pm.
The Murray Football Netball League will play out the second half of its split round six, with Moama having the bye.
Meanwhile, both Tongala and Echuca United will be away this weekend, with the Blues travelling to Cobram to face the Tigers while the Eagles will be in Deniliquin to battle the Rams.
Tonny will play an earlier fixture, with the senior men starting at 2pm and the A-grade side at 1.30pm, while Echuca United’s two top-flight teams will both begin at 2.30pm.
Lockington-Bamawm United has a much-needed rest ahead of round five of the Heathcote District Football Netball League, while Leitchville-Gunbower will travel to Barrack Reserve to take on Heathcote.
The senior men will begin their contest at 2.30pm while the A-grade netballers will begin at 3pm.
Both Picola United and Mathoura will host teams in round seven of the Picola District Football Netball League, with the Blues coming up against Deni Rovers and the Timbercutters facing Tungamah.
All senior men football games will begin at 2.05pm while all A-grade netball games will start at 1.30pm.
