THE Echuca man charged with the shooting murder of a man in Cohuna on Friday will remain behind bars for at least the next four months.

Daniel Oberin, 28, appeared in Bendigo Magistrates Court via videolink today charged with one count of murder.
No application for bail was made and he was remanded in custody to appear at Bendigo Magistrates Court on January 22 for a committal mention.
The court was told it was Oberin's first time in custody.
Oberin's family as well as family of the dead man were in court.
A 29-year-old Cohuna man was found with life threatening injuries at a property on Easton Rd shortly after 6am Friday. He died a short time later.
Police established a crime scene at number 32 Easton Rd near the intersection with Cohuna Island Rd, with Melbourne-based Homicide Squad detectives arriving about midday, followed by crime scene officers who processed the scene for forensic evidence.
Oberin allegedly handed himself into Echuca police station late Friday and was charged soon after.
