On Monday, Moama Bowling Club launched its own ‘bridge cam’ which shows the NSW end of the bridge.
MBC’s camera follows in the footsteps of OPT Bar’s cam which films traffic the Echuca side of the bridge.
“We felt it was a positive way to contribute to our community by providing locals the ability to more efficiently time their travel across the bridge,” MBC sales and marketing manager George Santos said.
“Many people we spoke to since the border checks were put in place commented they have lost so much time waiting getting across, and wished they knew the best time to travel outside the obvious peak times, as it does tend to vary from day to day.
“Setting a live feed camera through our website and Facebook page seemed like a sensible thing to do overcome that issue, especially since one of our club’s facades offers a natural vantage point overlooking traffic flow at the current check point.”
OPT’s camera can be viewed at http://bridge.optbar.com.au/
MBC’s can be viewed on the club’s website.
Both links are also available through each organisation’s Facebook page.
