Carlisle was announced as a new senior co-coach for the Magpies in September last year, leading the team alongside Shannon Keam while still being involved in a playing capacity.
The versatile player made what was his first and only appearance for the club in the victory over Echuca United on Good Friday, kicking a goal in the 22-point win.
Moama president Scott Slater provided no comment when contacted about Carlisle’s departure.
Over the weekend, Carlisle played his first game since returning to Wallan, kicking a goal and being named in the best players against Woodend-Hesket.
